NATIVES INTO FINANCE™

From Knowledge to Career — On Your Own Terms

In Development

Knowledge Without Opportunity Leaves Potential Unfulfilled. This Program Exists to Close That Gap.

You may already have the foundation, the financial fluency, the legal literacy, the understanding of what it means to manage money within a tribal community. What Natives into Finance™ is being built to provide is what comes next: the career pathways, mentorship relationships, professional development, and employer connections that turn that foundation into a profession. This program is designed for Native individuals at any stage — high school, college, mid-career, or anywhere in between — who are ready to enter the finance industry as professionals, advocates, and leaders.

THE GAP WE ARE CLOSING

The finance industry shapes the economic lives of every community in this country. Native communities have felt that influence as acutely as any, through federal trust systems, and gaps in access to banks, insurance, and investment institutions. Unsurprisingly, Native finance professionals remain among the least represented in the financial sector. That is not a reflection of capacity or interest. It is a reflection of access. Natives into Finance™ is being built to change what that access looks like.

When Native individuals hold seats at the tables where financial decisions are made, the entire system becomes more equitable, more culturally informed, and more just.

WHAT THE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE

Natives into Finance™ will create structured, supported pathways into various finance professions such as tax preparation, insurance, and investment advisory, connecting participants to mentors who have navigated the industry, professional development opportunities that build toward licensure and credentialing, and relationships with employers and institutions actively committed to building a more representative financial sector. The program is designed for the full arc of career entry: from the first conversation about what a finance career could look like, through the preparation that makes it achievable, to the connections that make it real. Because knowledge without a pathway is where potential goes to wait — and this program is the pathway.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Natives into Finance™ was designed with Native communities at the center and is open to anyone committed to advancing Native representation in the financial sector. There is no age ceiling and no prerequisite coursework. Whether you are a high school student beginning to imagine a career, a college student building toward one, a recent graduate ready to enter the industry, or an adult at any point in your professional life ready to make a change — if you see a future in tribal finance, this program is being built with you in mind.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

Natives into Finance™ is currently in development and is not yet accepting participants. We are sharing it now because the people this program is designed to serve deserve to know it is coming and because the best version of this program will be shaped by the communities and individuals it is built for. If you want to be part of shaping what it becomes, as a future participant, a community partner, or an employer, now is exactly the right time to reach out.

This is the moment when the program is still being built and when your voice can still shape it.

If you represent a tribal nation, financial institution, employer, community organization, or future participant, we want to hear from you.
