NATIVE CATALYST APP

What If Your Child’s First Lesson in Finance Felt Like Play?
The Native Catalyst App is being designed from the values up, an elementary-level simulation game built to introduce Native children in grades K through 8 to foundational financial concepts: earning, saving, spending, protecting and growing assets, and making other decisions that account for more than just right now. Currently in development, it meets children where they are, in play, and plants something that will grow with them.

STEALTH LEARNING
Children learn best when they do not know they are learning.
The Native Catalyst App is built around a concept called stealth learning, embedding real educational content so naturally into a game that the child experiences it as play, not instruction. The game is an idle simulation: the kind where a child makes decisions: how to use resources, when to save, how to plan for what comes next. Once they set things in motion, they come back later to see what those choices produced, the core of investing and financial management. It is exactly the kind of game children already love, and it teaches exactly the kind of thinking that will serve them for the rest of their lives.
BUILT FOR EVERY COMMUNITY
Children should not need a strong Wi-Fi connection to get a strong start.
The Native Catalyst App is being built to work fully offline so that a child playing on a school tablet in a rural community has the same complete experience as any other player. This matters in every community where connectivity is spotty, and it is a non-negotiable part of how this app is being designed.
CULTURAL GROUNDING
The app is rooted in traditional values drawn from across Native nations and is specifically guided by the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Seven Generations Principle, the understanding that what we do today matters to the next seven generations of people who will come after us. For a child, that principle shows up not as a history lesson but as the way the game works: tradeoffs between deferral of short-term gratification for long-term gain; your choices have consequences across time, and the goal is to build something that lasts.
WHERE THIS LEADS
The Native Catalyst App is currently in development. We are building it with care and with community input. We are sharing its vision now so that the families and educators who will eventually use it have a chance to know it is coming and to have a voice in what it becomes. Students who grow up with the app are designed to move naturally into TPF+7G™, the only accredited and transcriptable personal finance course designed for Native high school students — carrying a tribal economic financial foundation that no standard curriculum could have given them.
